This elegant traditional kitchen is comfortable and ready for entertaining guests. It has an open layout with functional storage and an inviting vibe. A large island with comfortable seating and a dramatic wood hood sets the stage for the next party.  

Entertaining should be effortless, so we built in plenty of functional storage features. The homeowners really wanted to include a large refrigerator for entertaining, so we installed a built-in panel-ready appliance with cabinet-matching panels on the front.

Maintain floor plan and existing hardwood floors

  • Moved the cooking surface from the island to the wall to create a focal point with a cabinetry style hood
  • Added layers of lighting from ambient recessed lights to task specific under cabinets and large pendant lights over island for mood
